Will the gaming companies be able to convert some of their hottest 3D titles and serve them up over the Web. A gamer then could start a game at home, save it, go over to a friend’s house or somewhere with a good Internet connection and pick up the game right where he or she left off.
For game companies, there’s also the added benefit that it becomes more difficult to pirate a game since the software sits on a secure server. If gaming goes to the cloud, it could open up new markets for a number of companies that have been leery of piracy in Asia and South America.
And what about Multi-Players games in the cloud?

The last few years saw a shift towards cloud based architecture for servers.
This shift has not skipped the gaming industries and more and more companies switch over to cloud base server farms for their online games. This change however does not come for free and the game architecture (and sometimes event the games themselves) need to be reviewed in order to take full potential of the possibilities in cloud computing. In this talk we'll go over some basic architectural guidelines for cloud based games.
